A new team building event that results in sporting equipment being donated to New Zealand schools has been launched by corporate event and team building specialist, Corporate Challenge Events.
The program called ‘Takes All Sports’ was delivered for the first time last week for New Zealand-owned investment firm Forsyth Barr at Waiheke Sports Ground, with the sports equipment used during the day donated to Waiheke Primary School.
Corporate Challenge Events New Zealand Manager Darren Eckford said the ‘Takes All Sports’ program can be tailored for each client with a variety of fun sports-based activities.
“We have the ability to incorporate games and activities featuring elements of traditional favourites like netball, rugby, basketball, soccer and adaptations like hula hoops and even Quidditch from the Harry Potter stories,” said Eckford.
“Yes this new team building program is fun, interactive and develops teamwork, but the real power is through giving.
“Clients will donate the sporting equipment used through the day to a local school to bolster its sporting equipment stocks and enhance the physical activity opportunities for New Zealand students.”
Corporate Challenge Events provides a range of team building programs that have a corporate social responsibility focus.
“Many of our events provide not only development outcomes in team building but do so in a way that provides value to charities or community organisations,” said Eckford.
“Our clients love these programs and being able to provide to people or even animals in need gives these events even more power.”
The inaugural ‘Takes All Sports’ followed another recent charity-based team building event that Corporate Challenge Events delivered for Arnotts as part of its 150 year anniversary.
Held at the Auckland Zoo, 65 staff from Arnotts participated in a scavenger hunt with a special charitable outcome for KidsCanNZ.
Arnotts invited children from Otahuhu Primary School, a partner school of KidsCanNZ, to Auckland Zoo to see the animals and also donated 85 packed lunch boxes, drink bottles and homework bags to them.
